Your space in a class is reserved when class fee is paid. We must have three registered for a class. If the minimum has not been met, we will notify you and refund your money. We understand that occasionally you may need to cancel. Due to expenses for our teachers, you must cancel one week prior to your class to receive a refund. Supplies are not included in class fee unless otherwise noted. Call us to check availability. Registrants will receive a supplies list when they register. In consideration of teachers and class members, we request that students turn off cell phones during class. All machine and serger classes require an appliance in good working condition complete with any essential accessories denoted on the applicable supply list.
We are Having a Handi Quilter Event!

Thinking about long arm quilting or adding automation to your existing HandiQuilter? Join HandiQuilter Educator Mary Beth Krapil for two days of HandiQuilter education. She will be demonstrating Stand Up Longarm Machine Quilting Basics and the 3 B's (Background, Borders and Blocks) on Friday. Saturday is dedicated entirely to the Prostitcher Premium system. Classes are $35 each and if you sign up for all 4 you will receive a $35 store credit. Lunch will be provided each day. Contact the shop at 334-274-0887 to reserve your spot.
Sandy's Mystery Class
April 6, 2019 Time: 930 - 2:30 Fee: $50.00
This class is offered the first Saturday of each month. Sandy will pre-cut your fabrics, so you can come sit and sew. Students need to come to the shop and pick out their fabrics before March 29 for the April class so that Sandy can do the prep work.
The May class will be May 4th, the deadline for picking out fabrics is April 26, 2019. Please sign up early as these classes fill up fast!
Brown Bag Club
April 8, 2019, 12:00 - 1:00
This class meets the second Monday of each month; the $10.00 fee is a one time fee that covers the length of the project. The pattern is "Piece by Piece" by Lavender and Lime. Come in and see the quilt top Paula has created using this pattern. This class is a discussion/advice session that lasts approximately one hour.
Coxcombs and Pomegranates
April 11, 9:30 - 12:00 Cost $15.00 each month
This class will meet the second Saturday of each month. The cost is $15.00 per class session. Students will explore multiple methods of applique including hand and machine techniques. Stop by and see two samples of the same pattern: one made in modern fabrics and hand appliqued, the other in a more traditional colorway and expertly appliqued by machine. Paula is excited to share her knowledge of applique this month
Machine Binding Class
Saturday, April 13, 12:00 – 2:30 Fee $25.00
Nancy Poorbaugh will be teaching students her techniques for both applying and stitching down binding by machine. She will show you how to finishing your quilt with a quick, tidy and durable finish. We are so excited she is teaching this class again. Several of Nancy’s quilts hanging in the shop are finished this way and they are all immaculate. Please come and take a look. Even if you have been binding your quilts for years, this is a technique worth knowing.
Friday, April 19, 10:00 – 12:00
Cost $20.00 (includes supplies)
Students will bring their own embroidery machine, or they may arrange with us to "try before you buy" and use one of ours. These workshops will feature in-the-hoop projects which are exclusive to the participants. The price includes a kit, printed instructions and embroidery design file for your machine. Ruler Work Club
