Class Policies

Your space in a class is reserved when class fee is paid. We must have three registered for a class. If the minimum has not been met, we will notify you and refund your money. We understand that occasionally you may need to cancel. Due to expenses for our teachers, you must cancel one week prior to your class to receive a refund. Supplies are not included in class fee unless otherwise noted. Call us to check availability. Registrants will receive a supplies list when they register. In consideration of teachers and class members, we request that students turn off cell phones during class. All machine and serger classes require an appliance in good working condition complete with any essential accessories denoted on the applicable supply list.

Sandy's Mystery Class
January 5, 2019 Time: 930 - 2:30 Fee: $50.00
The January class is full, so sign up early for the February 2, 2019, class.
Sandy will pre-cut your fabrics, so you can come sit and sew. Students need to come to the shop and pick out their fabrics before January 24 for the February class so that Sandy can do the prep work.

There will be no Brown Bag Club meeting in January; Show & Tell and the BIG REVEAL for the next club will be scheduled for Monday, February 11, 2019

Coxcombs and Pomegranates
January 12, 9:30 - 12:00 Cost $15.00 each month
This class will meet the second Saturday of each month. The cost is $15.00 per class session. Students will explore multiple methods of applique including hand and machine techniques. Stop by and see two samples of the same pattern: one made in modern fabrics and hand appliqued, the other in a more traditional colorway and expertly appliqued by machine. Paula is excited to share her knowledge of applique this month

Ruler Work Club (This first six-month series is full, ask about the next series)
Monday, January 21, 2019 1:00-3:00, or Thursday, January 17, 2019, 1:00 – 3:00.
Cost is $29.99 per month, six month commitment required.
Get exclusive ruler kits and tutorials each month before they are released to the public. The HQ Ruler of the Month Club is a great opportunity to challenge your quilting skills and build ruler work confidence. Each month in the six month series features a debut acrylic ruler paired with mentorship, step-by-step video instructions and design ideas. Club members will receive a special gift which is earned at the end of the six month participation. The next series will begin in February, we are taking reservations for your six month commitment now. The reservations will be a first come, first enrolled basis, if you are currently attending a Ruler Club you are not automatically signed up for the next series, you will need to sign up again.

Embroidery Workshop
Friday, January 18, 10:00 – 12:00 Cost $20.00 (includes supplies)
Students will bring their own embroidery machine, or they may arrange with us to "try before you buy" and use one of ours. These workshops will feature in-the-hoop projects which are exclusive to the participants. The price includes a kit, printed instructions and embroidery design file for your machine. Come see Chrissy's adorable sample on display.

Leslie's Lecture Class
Thursday, January 24, 2019; 10:00 - 11:00; Fee: $10.00
This is one block of McKenna Ryan’s quilt “And On That Farm”. This block is “With A Big Quilt Here and A Small Quilt There”. The sample quilt in the store measures 42 by 42. A portion of the quilt will be presented each month in a lecture class. In January we will begin with the sky and two barns.

The Indian Summer Quilt
Saturday, January 26, 2019; 10:00 – 2:00 Fee: $40 plus supplies
Back by special request, Chrissy is teaching this beginner-friendly class in which participants learn the techniques for making the stunning Judy Niemeyer’s Indian Summer pattern. The featured technique is foundation paper piecing. Both of Chrissy’s spectacular samples are hanging in the shop.
